Wenn der Merkur von der Erde aus gesehen HINTER der Sonne steht erscheint er uns voll beleuchtet und hat eine relativ grosse Helligkeit (bis -2mag). In dieser Situation ist der Merkur mit speziellen Fernrohren ggf. beobachtbar.
