A more refined version of my forced air cooling mod for the Watec has been built from 50x50x5 aluminium stock. Here are some images of the current state, which uses the same modified camera parts as the first Watec cooling mod. The refined mod provides a more sturdy case, better protection of the electronics, a tripod socket at the bottom and has been sand-blasted to improve the final finish.
Air is been drawn into the housing by the fan and pushed out through the holes at the bottom and lower sides of the housing. Through the specially machined gaps in the original front plate, the air can also flow past the critical ccd itself.
